Paint Or Seek is a camouflage-based hide-and-seek game where your goal is to become invisible by matching your paint to the environment. First Steps: Joining a Game

When you first load Paint Or Seek, you'll enter a lobby. Wait for a round to start or join one in progress. Once the round begins, you'll be assigned either as a Hider or a Seeker — the game alternates roles across matches.

As a new player, pay attention to which role you get. Most of the challenge comes from hiding effectively, so focus on that first.

The Hider Phase: Painting and Hiding

When you spawn as a Hider, you have a head start before Seekers can move. Your first job is to paint your character to match your surroundings.

  1. Look around the map. Identify walls, floors, objects, or corners where you could hide. Notice their colors and textures.
  2. Open the paint menu. Use the painting tool to change your character's color. Match it as closely as possible to a nearby surface.
  3. Find your hiding spot. Move to a location that's hard to see from the middle of the map — corners, behind objects, inside alcoves, or tight spaces work well.
  4. Stand still and wait. Once you're painted and hidden, avoid moving. Seekers look for movement. The longer you stay unspotted, the higher your score.

The timer counts down while you hide. Survive until time runs out to win the round.

The Seeker Phase

When you become a Seeker, you're hunting other players. Walk around the map and look for anything that seems out of place — a shape that doesn't quite fit, a color that's slightly off, or a player standing too still.

Move systematically through the map and check common hiding spots. High-traffic areas like corners and alcoves are good places to investigate. Tag any player you find to catch them.

Movement: Use WASD or arrow keys to move around. Click and drag your mouse to look around.
