In Violence District, you're one of five survivors trapped in a deadly game against a killer. Your goal is to work together, repair generators, complete objectives, and escape alive. The odds are tough—the game warns that "there aren't too many that get to live"—but smart play and teamwork give you a real shot.

The Survivor Role

As a survivor, you're forced to cooperate with your team. Unlike the killer who works alone, your strength comes from sticking together and handling objectives. Pallets are your key defensive tool—they're scarce and limited, so use them only when it matters most to stun the killer and break a chase.

Mastering Generator Skill Checks

Repairing generators is your main objective. When you interact with a generator, skill check prompts will appear on your screen. Hit these skill checks successfully to progress repairs without alerting the killer. Miss them and you'll alert the killer to your location, giving away your position.

💡 Tip — Focus on timing. Skill checks appear fast. Stay calm and practice hitting them accurately in early matches so you can complete generators without detection.

Heal Your Teammates

Healing is not just about survival—it's essential teamwork. When a teammate gets caught and injured, they need heals to avoid being sacrificed or killed. Make healing a priority, especially when the killer is chasing someone else. An injured team falls apart fast.

💡 Tip — Don't heal yourself first every time. If a teammate is hurt and you're safe, heal them. A healthy team wins. You can heal yourself when you get a free moment.

Looping the Killer

Looping is running around terrain, buildings, or objects to waste the killer's time and break their line of sight. When you're being chased, look for structures you can circle. The killer has to follow the same path, giving you a few seconds to escape or let your teammates work on generators.

Basic looping keeps you alive longer and takes pressure off the team. It doesn't mean you'll win the chase forever—eventually you'll need to hide, use a pallet, or create real distance—but every second matters.

💡 Tip — Don't panic loop forever. Looping buys time, but if you're running out of pallets or the killer is getting closer, break off and hide or regroup with your team.

Perks and Items

As you progress, you unlock perks and items that give survivors special abilities. Perks might help you heal faster, run slightly faster, or sense danger. Items give you tools like first-aid kits to heal yourself or others, or items that help with repairs.

Choose perks and items that fit your playstyle. If you like supporting the team, grab healing perks. If you want to stay alive longer in chases, pick perks that help you escape or hide.

Teamwork Wins

Violence District is built on cooperation. Stick with your team, share resources, call out the killer's location if you spot them, and work together on objectives. A team that communicates and coordinates escapes more often than lone survivors.
