Racket Rivals drops you straight into a fast-paced 3v3 racket showdown. You and two teammates face off against another team, trading shots with a shuttle. It's a chaotic blend of badminton, tennis, squash, and volleyball—all you need to do is hit the shuttle over the net and keep it in play.

Your goal is simple: land shots your opponents can't return, rack up points, and win the match. Along the way, you'll unlock spirits with special abilities, discover powerful rackets, and grab awakenings that unlock ultimate moves.

Controls and Basic Actions

Here are the controls you need to know:

  • Left Click — Swing your racket at the shuttle
  • Hold Left Click — Power Swing (charge for a stronger hit)
  • E — Set (pass the shuttle to a teammate instead of hitting it over the net)
  • Q — Dash (move quickly across the court)
  • 1 — Use your Ability (your spirit's special move)
  • 2 — Awakening (activate your ultimate for a big power boost)
  • V — Emotes (taunt or celebrate)
  • B — Bubbles (cosmetic effect)

Your First 10 Minutes

1. Join a match. Pick a team and spawn on the court. You'll see the shuttle in the middle of the arena and your opponents across the net.

2. Wait for a serve. One team starts with the shuttle. Watch where the other team's serve goes—it'll come at you fast.

3. React with a basic swing. As the shuttle approaches, click once to swing. Timing matters—hit it clean and it goes over the net. Mess it up and it flies wild.

4. Use your dash. The shuttle's not always in your exact spot. Press Q to dash sideways or forward and position yourself for a hit.

5. Build up your power swing. Once you're comfortable with the basic swing, hold down left click to charge a Power Swing. Let go to unleash a harder, faster shot your opponents will struggle to return.

6. Try a set. If a teammate is closer to the net, press E to set the shuttle to them instead of sending it over. They can then finish the point with their own swing.

7. Land a point. If your shot lands in bounds and your opponent can't reach it, you score. Three rallies won usually means a round win.

Core Gameplay Loop

Every point follows the same rhythm:

  1. A shuttle gets served into play
  2. You hit it back (or set it to a teammate)
  3. Opponents return it
  4. Back and forth until someone misses or hits out of bounds
  5. Whoever wins the rally gets a point
  6. First team to enough points wins the round

Most matches have multiple rounds. Win more rounds than the other team to win the game.

Spirits, Rackets, and Awakenings

As you play, you'll unlock spirits—these are characters with unique abilities. Each spirit gives you a special move (press 1) that can change the flow of a rally. Abilities range from trick shots to defensive boosts.

You'll also find rackets with different stats and effects. Some are more powerful, some faster, some better for control.

Awakenings (press 2) are ultimate moves tied to your spirit. They unlock after you've played enough and hit hard. Use them strategically—they're your best tool for turning a losing rally into a winning one.

Common Beginner Mistakes

Swinging too late. The shuttle moves fast. Anticipate where it's going and start moving before it reaches you. Early positioning beats panicked swings.

Never using your dash. Q is your friend. If you're out of position, dash to get in range. It's faster than walking and crucial for reaching far shots.

Always trying to smash. Power Swings are tempting, but don't spam them. A well-placed basic swing often beats a wild power shot. Use power when you have a clear opening.

Forgetting about teamwork. This is 3v3. Use E to set teammates near the net, and they'll do the same for you. Good teams chain sets together for unstoppable finishes.

Ignoring your ability cooldown. Your spirit's ability (1) recharges over time. Don't waste it early in a point—save it for when you really need it.

💡 Tip — Watch how veteran players move. They're constantly dashing into position before the shuttle arrives, not after. Copy that habit and your game will improve fast.

Tips to Win

Master the basic swing first. Once you're comfortable hitting clean shots, everything else—power swings, sets, abilities—becomes easier to layer on top.

Play to your spirit's strength. Different spirits excel at different things. If yours has a defensive ability, use it to keep tough rallies alive. If it's an offensive spirit, look for chances to finish points.

Communicate with your team (if voice chat is on). Calling out who's taking the next shot and where the shuttle's heading keeps everyone on the same page. Even quick pings help.

Stay aggressive but smart. Push for points, but don't throw yourself out of position chasing every shot. A good defensive stand is sometimes better than a risky swing.
