Racket Rivals is a chaotic 3v3 sport game that blends badminton, tennis, squash, and volleyball into one fast-paced experience. You'll compete in teams of three, wielding rackets and special abilities to outplay your opponents. The controls are straightforward, but mastering them—and knowing when to use each tool—is what separates beginners from strong players.
Master the Basic Controls
Get comfortable with the core controls before jumping into matches:
- Left Click – Regular swing (quick and basic)
- Hold Left Click – Power swing (stronger but slower)
- E – Set (pass to teammates)
- Q – Dash (quick movement)
- 1 – Use your ability
- 2 – Awakening (your ultimate)
- V – Emotes (for fun, not gameplay)
- B – Bubbles (cosmetic)
Practice swinging and moving around an empty court first. Feel the rhythm of timing your clicks to connect with the shuttle.
Learn When to Swing vs. Power Swing
Your two swing types serve different purposes. A regular swing (left click) is fast and reliable—use it for quick rallies and when you need to react instantly. A power swing (hold left click) hits harder and travels farther, but it's slower. Save power swings for scoring opportunities or when the shuttle is far from opponents.
Don't spam power swings. You'll leave yourself vulnerable. Mix quick swings for defense with power swings for offense.
Use Your Set (E) to Set Up Teammates
Press E to set the shuttle to a teammate instead of hitting it over the net. A good set puts your ally in a scoring position. This is how team play works—coordinate with your squad to set up easy kills. If you're in a bad position, setting is safer than swinging and losing the point.
Watch your teammates and set the shuttle to whoever is in the best spot to attack.
Dash (Q) to Reposition Fast
Use Q to dash across the court quickly. This is essential for reaching shuttles that are far away or for dodging incoming attacks. Dash toward the shuttle whenever it's traveling in your direction, and dash backward if you need space.
Dashing has a cooldown, so use it wisely. Don't waste it running around—save it for moments when you need to make a play.
Activate Your Ability (1) Strategically
Each spirit you unlock has a unique ability. Press 1 to activate it. Abilities are powerful tools—they might boost your swing, protect you, or disrupt opponents. Don't use your ability randomly. Use it when you're about to score, when you're in danger, or when it synergizes with your team's strategy.
Learn what your current spirit's ability does and practice timing it right.
Save Your Awakening (2) for Critical Moments
Your awakening is your ultimate move—it's powerful but takes time to charge. Press 2 to unleash it. Don't pop it early in a match when the outcome doesn't matter yet. Save it for deciding moments: when the score is tied, when you're down, or when you can secure a winning point.
Communicate with your team about when to use awakenings. Timing a team awakening is devastating.
Unlock and Equip Different Spirits
Spirits are champions with unique abilities. As you play, unlock new spirits to expand your options. Each one has different playstyles—some are aggressive, some are defensive, some support teammates. Experiment with different spirits to find ones that match how you like to play.
Don't stick with the same spirit forever. Learning multiple spirits makes you more adaptable to team needs.
Summon Strong Rackets Early
You can summon powerful rackets during matches. Stronger rackets improve your swings and give you an edge. Summon them as soon as you can afford them—early racket upgrades help you win rallies faster and take control of the game.
