The 2020 Christmas Box was a special weapon crate released during the Christmas Event 2020. While the crate itself is no longer available for purchase, it remains one of the most sought-after limited boxes in Murder Mystery 2. The weapons you could unbox from it are still tradeable, making them worth knowing about if you're building your collection.

What Was the 2020 Christmas Box?

The 2020 Christmas Box was a timed weapon crate that appeared only during the Christmas Event 2020. Once the event ended, it was removed from the in-game shop. That makes any weapon that came from this crate a legacy item—it can only be obtained now through trading with other players.

How to Open It

During the event, there were two ways to open the crate:

  • Pay 800 Snow Tokens
  • Use 1 Snow Key (also called Old Snow Key)

Since the crate is no longer in the shop, you can't open new ones anymore. If you own one, the methods above are how you would have used it.

What You Can Unbox

The 2020 Christmas Box contained a mix of common, uncommon, rare, legendary, and godly weapons with a holiday theme:

Weapon Type Rarity Drop Rate
Ornaments Knife Common 70%
Stockings Knife Common 70%
Trees Knife Common 70%
Gift Bag Gun Common 70%
Wrap Knife Uncommon 15%
Wrap Gun Uncommon 15%
Gingerbread Gun Uncommon 15%
Snowflakes Knife Rare 10%
Silent Night Gun Rare 10%
Icecracker Knife Legendary 5%
Iceblaster Gun Godly <1%
💡 Tip — The rarity odds add up because multiple items share the same drop rate tier. Common items have a 70% combined chance, uncommon items 15%, and so on.

Getting the Weapons Now

Since you can't open new boxes, the only way to get these weapons is through trading. Check the in-game trading system or community trading hubs to find players willing to trade for 2020 Christmas Box weapons. Godly and Legendary items will be harder to find and more expensive, while common and uncommon drops are easier to locate.

💡 Tip — If you're hunting for a specific weapon like Iceblaster (the godly gun), expect to pay a premium. Very few of these were ever unboxed due to the low drop rate.

Why These Weapons Matter

Limited-time crates are valuable in Murder Mystery 2 because they can't be restocked. The 2020 Christmas Box weapons are legacy items, which makes them desirable for collectors and players trying to build a complete inventory. Even the common drops have trading value simply because they're no longer available in the shop.

💡 Tip — Keep track of your collection goals. Owning weapons from past limited events shows your playtime and investment in the game.
