The 2020 Halloween Box is a weapon crate that was only available during the 2020 Halloween Event in Murder Mystery 2. Because the event has ended, you can no longer unbox it directly. Your only way to get one now is by trading with other players who have extras or who are willing to sell.
Inside this box are 11 different weapons with drop chances ranging from Common up to Godly rarity. If you manage to get the box through trading, opening it takes either a Pumpkin Key or 600 Candies—both of which are also no longer in circulation unless you already have them.
What Weapons Drop From the Box
When you open a 2020 Halloween Box, you'll receive one weapon. Here's the complete list and your odds of getting each:
| Weapon | Type | Rarity | Chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Carved | Knife | Common | 70% |
| Watcher | Knife | Common | 70% |
| Candle | Knife | Common | 70% |
| Candy Corn | Knife | Common | 70% |
| Pumpkin | Knife | Uncommon | 15% |
| Ghosts | Knife | Uncommon | 15% |
| Mummy | Gun | Uncommon | 15% |
| Bones | Knife | Rare | 10% |
| Portal | Knife | Rare | 10% |
| Ripper | Gun | Legendary | 5% |
| Hallowgun | Gun | Godly | <1% |
The Hallowgun is the trophy pull from this box—it's Godly rarity and drops less than 1% of the time. Most of your opens will land on the common knives (Carved, Watcher, Candle, Candy Corn), which make up 70% of the loot table.
How to Obtain the Box Now
Since the 2020 Halloween Event ended, the box is no longer for sale in the game. Your only path to getting one is trading:
- Join the MM2 community. Hang out in the game's Discord server or official Roblox group to find players who might be selling the box.
- Make an offer. Ask what they want in return. Halloween boxes are valuable because the weapons inside are seasonal and unobtainable any other way.
- Negotiate fairly. The trade value depends on what the seller wants—usually high-tier knives, guns, or multiple items.
- Complete the trade. Once you agree, use the in-game trade system to swap items.
Opening the Box
If you get your hands on a 2020 Halloween Box, you'll need one of these to open it:
- Pumpkin Key (preferred, since you only need one)
- 600 Candies (2020 Halloween Candies, not regular currency)
Both of these items are no longer available from events, so they're just as hard to find as the box itself. If you're buying a box on the trade market, make sure you already have a key or the right amount of candy before you commit to the deal.
Why the Box Matters
The 2020 Halloween Box is one of the few ways to get exclusive seasonal weapons that can never be re-released as long as you didn't play during the original event. Every weapon from this crate—especially the rare and legendary guns—is a permanent part of your inventory and can be traded forever.
For collectors and traders, owning weapons from retired event boxes is a status symbol in MM2. If you manage to unbox the Hallowgun, you've hit the rarest drop in the crate and have something very few players will ever own.
