The 2015 Christmas Knife Box was one of Murder Mystery 2's earliest limited-time weapon boxes. It dropped during the Christmas Event 2015 and remains valuable to collectors today because it was one of the first event boxes to focus on just one weapon type — knives.

Since this box is no longer available, you can't open new ones. However, if you own any of the knives from inside, they're part of MM2 history.

What Is the 2015 Christmas Knife Box?

The 2015 Christmas Knife Box is a retired loot crate from Murder Mystery 2's first Christmas event. It contained exclusively festive-themed knives. The box itself was modeled after a Roblox gift hat, fitting the holiday theme perfectly.

This box and its companion, the 2015 Christmas Gun Box, were notable because they were the first — and last — event boxes in MM2 to contain only a single weapon type. After this year, holiday boxes started mixing knives and guns together.

How Much Did It Cost?

During the Christmas Event 2015, the cost changed based on timing:

  • Early access (Dec 14–19): 75 Gifts (the 2015 event currency)
  • After release (rest of event): 30 Gifts

The price drop meant later players could unbox more crates for the same amount of currency.

Rarity Breakdown

Common (4 knives): Santa, Elf, Ornament1, and Ornament2 were the most common pulls. You'd expect to get these frequently when opening boxes.

Uncommon (3 knives): Snowy, Snowman, and Wrapped were less common. These still appeared regularly but less often than the Commons.

Rare (2 knives): Ginger and Cane were harder to find. Collectors targeted these during the event.

Legendary (1 knife): Tree was the second-rarest knife in the box — a serious pull if you landed it.

Godly (1 knife): Candy was the rarest possible reward. The exact chance of unboxing it remains unknown, but Godlies are always the hardest to obtain.

💡 Tip — If you own any of these knives today, they're pieces of Murder Mystery 2 history. The older the knife and the higher the rarity, the more valuable it is to collectors who missed the 2015 event.

Tips for Collectors

Trading value: All knives from this box are retired, which makes them desirable in the MM2 trading community. Godly and Legendary rarities command high prices.

Set completionist goal: If you're serious about collecting, try to get at least one knife from each rarity tier. The Candy knife is nearly impossible to complete a full set with, so don't stress if you can't land it.

Giveaway watches: Some veteran players and content creators occasionally give away old event weapons. Keep an eye on the official MM2 page for limited-time opportunities.
