Welcome to Land or Die!, a chaotic multiplayer survival game where you and your crew must save an airplane in crisis. Your pilot has mysteriously passed out, and the plane is in trouble. You'll need to switch camera angles, calm panicking passengers, fix broken systems, and handle in-flight emergencies like engine fires and turbulence—all while racing to land safely before it's too late.
⚠️ Important: This game is currently in beta and contains flashing lights and rapid camera effects that may trigger seizures or motion sickness. If you have photosensitive epilepsy, be careful when playing.
What Is Land or Die!?
Land or Die! is a cooperative game created by Plenty of Planets. You're part of an airplane crew facing multiple emergencies at once. The core challenge: work together, fix systems before they fail completely, manage passengers who are getting scared, and guide the plane to a safe landing.
The game is unpredictable. You might face engine fires, system malfunctions, or severe turbulence. Success depends on communication, quick thinking, and knowing what to prioritize when everything is breaking at once.
Your First Flight: Step by Step
- Spawn and look around. When you join, you'll be on the airplane with your crew. Take a moment to get your bearings and see where the emergency controls are located.
- Check the cameras. Press V to switch camera views. You need to see the cockpit, the cabin, the engines, and other critical areas to understand what's failing.
- Identify the first emergency. Look for visual cues—smoke, alarms, warnings on screens. Common first emergencies are engine fires or system failures that need immediate attention.
- Locate the repair tools. You'll need tools from your crew's inventory or the Supply Shop to fix broken systems. Identify what needs fixing first based on priority (fire is usually urgent).
- Work together to stabilize. Assign crew members to different tasks: one person handles the fire, another manages scared passengers, another stabilizes the plane's systems.
- Approach the landing zone. Once you've handled the worst emergencies, guide the plane toward a safe landing area.
- Land safely. Use your controls to bring the plane down smoothly. A rough landing may still count as a win if everyone survives.
Core Controls and Camera
Camera Switching (V): Press V to cycle through different camera angles. This is your lifeline. You can't see the entire airplane from one spot, so you'll constantly switch between the cockpit, passenger cabin, engine views, and other areas. Get comfortable switching quickly—you need to spot problems the moment they happen.
You'll use standard Roblox movement controls (WASD or arrow keys) to move around the cabin, cockpit, and other areas of the plane. Move toward problems and stay near the tools or stations you need to use.
Managing Emergencies
Engine Fires: If an engine catches fire, you'll see flames and smoke. These are life-threatening and need immediate action. Use the appropriate tool or emergency system to extinguish the fire before it spreads.
System Failures: The plane's critical systems—hydraulics, electrical, pressurization—can fail. When a system fails, switch cameras to the affected area and use repair tools to restore it. Broken systems make the plane unstable and harder to control.
Passenger Panic: Passengers will become scared and panicked as emergencies happen. Calming them isn't just nice—it helps reduce chaos and confusion. Talk to or interact with panicked passengers to reassure them.
Turbulence: The plane may shake and tilt unexpectedly. Turbulence makes it harder to move around and work on repairs. Grip handholds if available and wait for the shaking to subside before attempting delicate repairs.
Teamwork and the Supply Shop
You won't survive alone. Assign your crew to different roles:
- The Pilot: Focuses on controlling the plane and steering toward the landing zone.
- The Engineer: Handles system repairs and fires.
- The Crew Member: Manages passengers and performs secondary repairs.
You can buy additional tools from the Supply Shop to handle emergencies you don't have equipment for. Tools help you repair systems faster, extinguish fires, or manage other problems. Decide as a team what tools are most critical and buy them early.
Common Beginner Mistakes
Not switching cameras enough. New players focus on one area and miss emergencies developing elsewhere. Switch cameras every few seconds to stay aware of the whole plane.
Ignoring passenger panic. Panicked passengers can cause additional problems and distraction. Spend time calming them before they escalate the situation.
Ignoring small problems until they're critical. A small system leak becomes a major failure if you ignore it. Fix minor issues immediately to prevent them from cascading.
Not buying tools. Many teams waste time trying to fix things without the right tools. Visit the Supply Shop early and stock up on essentials like fire extinguishers and repair kits.
Poor communication. If your crew doesn't talk, you'll step on each other's toes and miss emergencies. Use voice chat or quick callouts to stay coordinated.
Panicking during the landing. The landing is tense, but rushing it often causes crashes. Take your time, aim for a clear landing zone, and bring the plane down smoothly.
Land or Die! is chaotic and unpredictable—that's the point. Stay calm, work with your crew, and remember: the goal is survival, not perfection. Good luck getting everyone down safely!
