Jujutsu Shenanigans is a fast-paced action game where combat and destruction take center stage. You'll battle other players using combos, tactical skills, and special abilities. The game draws inspiration from popular battle royale and combat games, so if you've played those, you'll pick up the basics quickly.
This guide covers the essential controls, how combat works, and what to focus on in your first sessions.
Core Controls
Get these keybinds memorized right away:
- M1 — Melee combo. Tap repeatedly to chain hits together.
- 1, 2, 3, 4 — Skill buttons. Each skill has its own cooldown and effect.
- Q — Dash. Critical for mobility and escaping stuns.
- F — Block. Reduces damage from incoming attacks.
- R — Special ability. Your character's unique powerful move.
- G — Awaken. Unlock enhanced power (details depend on your character).
- W + W — Sprint. Hold both W presses to run fast; the game auto-avoids obstacles.
How Combat Works
Combat revolves around chaining attacks and managing your abilities:
- Start with M1 combos. Each successive tap extends your combo chain, dealing more total damage.
- Use skills 1–4 to break up your combos or counter opponents. Mix them in rather than just spamming M1.
- When stunned or caught, tap Q to dash out. Timing this escape is crucial.
- Hold F to block incoming damage. You can't attack while blocking, so use it strategically.
- Your R special is a high-damage move — save it for key moments or finishing opponents.
- G to awaken when available, giving you a temporary power boost.
First Steps
When you start playing:
- Spend 5 minutes in the tutorial or training area learning how each button feels.
- Practice your M1 combo timing and see how many hits you can chain.
- Engage in short practice duels to test your skill rotation without pressure.
- Learn when to block versus when to dash — blocking reduces damage, but dashing also moves you away from danger.
- Once comfortable, jump into real matches and adapt to how other players fight.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Overcommitting to combos. If an enemy blocks or dashes, your long combo gets interrupted. Mix in defensive moves.
- Ignoring the sprint. W+W gets you across the map faster and dodges obstacles automatically — use it to chase or escape.
- Forgetting to block. New players panic and keep attacking. A well-timed block can turn the fight around.
- Wasting your special. The R ability is powerful but has a cooldown. Don't use it when it won't help you win the fight.
- Not using Q to escape stuns. Stuns are dangerous — always be ready to dash out the moment one lands.
Destruction and Arenas
Jujutsu Shenanigans includes destructible environments inspired by combat mayhem games. You can break objects around you during fights. This opens up strategy: destroy cover to expose enemies, or use destruction to create new escape routes. Experiment with what you can break in each arena.
