Jujutsu Shenanigans is a combat-focused game where learning the basics makes a huge difference. Whether you're jumping in for the first time or refining your approach, these tips will help you master the core mechanics.

Master the Combo System

Your primary attack is M1, which chains into a melee combo. Spam it against opponents to deal consistent damage. Each button press advances your combo, so keep pressing M1 to maximize your hits. This is your bread and butter for any fight.

Learn Your Four Skills

You have four skills mapped to keys 1, 2, 3, and 4. Each one serves a different purpose in combat — some deal area damage, others control positioning, and some protect you. Spend time in training or casual matches to figure out what each of your skills does. Once you understand their effects, you'll know when to use them.

Block to Reduce Damage

Pressing F activates your block. Blocking reduces incoming damage and can help you survive longer in trades. Don't block every attack mindlessly, though — good blocking gives you breathing room to plan your next move or escape.

Use Dash to Escape Stuns

Press Q to dash. This is especially valuable when you're stunned by an opponent's attack — you can press Q while stunned to escape the effect and get away. Dash frequently in fights to avoid incoming combos and reposition yourself.

Sprint for Quick Movement

Press W twice (or hold W+W) to sprint. Sprinting speeds up your movement and automatically avoids obstacles in your path. Use this to chase down fleeing opponents or retreat when you're low on health.

Save Your Special for Key Moments

Press R to activate your special ability. Specials are usually powerful but have longer cooldowns than your regular skills. Don't waste it early in a fight — wait for an opening or when you need a big damage spike to secure a win.

Awaken When Ready

Press G to awaken. This is a major power boost, but timing matters. Use it when you're confident you can capitalize on the boost, such as when an opponent is vulnerable or low on health. Activating it too early wastes the advantage.

💡 Tip — The destruction and combat systems in this game reward aggression and quick decision-making. Don't be afraid to experiment with different skill combinations to find what works for your playstyle.

Practice Skill Chains

Combine your M1 combos with your skills (1, 2, 3, 4) to create devastating chains. For example, knock an opponent down with a skill, then finish with M1 spam. Learning synergies between your attacks will give you the edge in fights.

Manage Cooldowns

Each skill and your special ability have cooldown timers. Keep track of which abilities are available and which are still recharging. Fight smart — use available skills while waiting for your most powerful attacks to come back online.

Understand Positioning

Where you stand matters. Keep distance from multiple opponents, use the map environment to your advantage, and don't let enemies surround you. Good positioning lets you control the pace of the fight and escape when needed.
