Flee the Facility is about speed, teamwork, and smart hiding. Whether you're running from the beast or hunting survivors, the first few rounds set the tone. These tips will get you escape-ready fast.
Understand the Two Roles
Every match has runners and one beast. Runners work together to unlock exits and escape. The beast hunts them down. If you're new, expect to be either role randomly. Runners need speed and teamwork. The beast needs aggression and tracking. Know which side you're on before the round starts so you can plan accordingly.
Stick With Your Team as a Runner
Solo runners get caught. Stay close to other players when possible. If the beast targets one of you, the others can help distract it or keep moving toward an exit. Groups are harder to take down than lone runners. You don't need to be glued together, but stay in the same general area and watch each other's backs.
Learn Where Exits Are Located
Each map has multiple exit points. Your goal as a runner is to reach one and unlock it to escape. Spend your first few rounds just exploring and memorizing exit locations. Once you know the map layout, you'll waste less time running in circles. When the beast chases, you'll know exactly which exit is closest.
Focus on Unlocking Exits Together
Exits require interaction to unlock. As a runner, don't try to unlock an exit alone while the beast is actively hunting nearby—you're a sitting target. Coordinate with teammates so multiple players are working on unlocks at the same time. This spreads the beast's attention and gives someone a real chance to finish the job.
Use Hiding Spots Tactically
The facility has many places to hide—corners, rooms, and nooks. Hiding is good for breaking line of sight with the beast and regrouping with teammates. Don't hide for too long in the same spot, though. The beast will come back around. Hide to reset, then move toward your goal. Hiding works best as a stall, not as your main strategy.
Keep Moving Toward Exits
Standing still or wandering aimlessly gets you caught. Always have a direction. Once the round starts, pick an exit and navigate toward it. If the beast appears, sprint away from it while moving toward your goal. Forward momentum gives you a real chance to succeed. Runners who sprint with purpose outlast runners who panic and run randomly.
Watch for the Beast on Your Screen
The beast is large and moves fast. Look around frequently, especially behind you. If you see it approaching, don't stand your ground—run. Distance is your friend. The longer the beast chases, the better chance your teammates have to unlock an exit. If you get caught early, the pressure on your team increases. Keep your eyes open and stay aware of your surroundings.
Hunt Systematically as the Beast
If you're the beast, don't just run in random directions. Patrol high-traffic areas like exit zones and main corridors. Runners often cluster near exits, so check those spots regularly. When you spot a runner, chase them down immediately. The sooner you catch them, the fewer exits your remaining opponents can unlock. Focus on one runner at a time until you catch them, then reset and hunt the next.
Chase Grouped Runners First
If you see multiple runners together, target them. Breaking up groups is key to winning as the beast. Once groups scatter, each runner is vulnerable alone. A single catch often leads to panic among the survivors and more catches. Splitting the team is your biggest advantage.
Corner Runners Near Walls and Dead Ends
The beast's strength is raw speed. Use the map layout against runners. Chase them toward corners, walls, and tight spaces where they have fewer escape routes. Runners in open areas have more options. Runners in dead ends have nowhere to go. Smart hunting means using the facility itself as a trap.
Stay Calm Under Pressure
Getting chased is intense. Panic makes you careless. Keep your head clear, follow your escape plan, and trust your team. The beast can only catch one person at a time. Every second you stay alive is a second your teammates can work toward escape. Whether you're the hunted or the hunter, staying calm gives you the edge.
