BedWars is a fast-paced competitive game where teams battle to destroy each other's beds while protecting their own. Once your bed is destroyed, you can't respawn—so defense is just as important as offense. The last team with a standing bed wins.

This guide walks you through your first match, the core mechanics, and essential controls to get you playing like a pro.

Your First Match

Getting into a game is straightforward:

  1. Open BedWars in Roblox and load into the Lobby.
  2. Find and click the "Play" button to search for a match.
  3. Wait for matchmaking to place you on a team.
  4. You'll spawn near your bed with your teammates.
  5. The match begins—resources start appearing on nearby platforms.

Your first priority: collect resources from the ground. These let you buy protective blocks, weapons, and upgrades that make a real difference.

Core Objective

BedWars has two main goals, and both matter:

  • Protect your bed. This is your team's lifeline. If enemies destroy it, you lose the ability to respawn when you die. Guard it carefully.
  • Destroy enemy beds. Once an enemy team's bed is gone, they can't come back. Eliminate them to remove a threat.
💡 Tip — Defending your bed is often easier than attacking multiple enemy beds at once. Build walls and set traps around your bed early.

After you destroy all enemy beds, eliminate the remaining players to win the match.

Gathering Resources and Upgrading

Resources are everything in BedWars. You need them to buy items and team upgrades.

  1. Collect resources spawning on nearby platforms around your bed.
  2. Open your inventory to see what you've gathered.
  3. Use the item shop to buy blocks, weapons, armor, and tools.
  4. Purchase team upgrades that benefit everyone: better resource generation, better protection, stronger weapons.

Smart shopping wins games. Prioritize defensive blocks early, then transition to weapons and upgrades as the game progresses.

PC Controls

All hotkeys are customizable in settings. Here are the defaults:

  • Shift: Sprint
  • E: Open Inventory
