The Maze in The Depths is a challenging extension of the Vertigo area in Fisch. Navigating the maze is a crucial step to obtaining the Rod of the Depths, one of the most powerful fishing rods in the game. This guide will walk you through unlocking the maze, solving its puzzles, and reaching the reward.

The Maze Entrance

To access the maze, you need to complete a Relic Placement Puzzle, which requires two specific Enchant Relics:

  1. Abyssal Relic:

    • Place this relic on the pedestal near the Aspicientis statue.
    • Coordinates: X: 1210, Y: 715, Z: -678.

  2. Hexed Relic:

    • Place this relic on the pedestal next to Tenebris, accessed by ascending the waterfall opposite the Aspicientis statue.

Important Notes

  • Client-Sided Mechanism: Only the player can place the relics to open the maze. Relics placed by others will not work.
  • Progress Not Saved: If you disconnect after placing the relics and before completing the maze, you will need to start over.

Once both relics are placed, the stone circle in front of the statue will open, revealing the entrance to the maze.

Challenges

The maze features narrow passages, disorienting turns, and underwater sections. Even with the Advanced Diving Gear, navigating the maze can be challenging due to limited visibility and the random positioning of gates.

Tips for Navigation

  1. Use Landmarks: Memorize key features like large rocks, coral formations, and branching paths to avoid getting lost.
  2. Map Out Your Path: If possible, sketch out or remember your progress through trial and error.
  3. Equip Advanced Diving Gear: This gear is essential to stay underwater for extended periods without returning to the surface.

Reward for Completing the Maze in The Depths Fisch

At the end of the maze, you’ll find a statue offering the Rod of the Depths for C$750,000. This rod is known for its exceptional stats and unique ability to summon the spirit of the Depths King after every three successful catches.

Hidden Passage

Behind the statue, there is a hidden whirlpool that teleports the player back to The Depths, near the Merchant and Angler.

1. What happens if I disconnect during the maze?

Unfortunately, progress is not saved between servers. If you disconnect after placing the relics or during the maze, you will need to restart the process.
