Agaric is an NPC in Mushgrove Swamp who offers a revenge quest. Complete it and you'll get the Fungal Rod and the Vigilante title. Both rewards are worth grabbing early in the game.

Where to Find Agaric

Head to Mushgrove Swamp and look for a large mushroom with a tent next to it. Agaric sits under that mushroom. The exact location is at coordinates 2601, 132, -730 if you need to pin it down.

💡 Tip — Mushgrove Swamp is easy to reach early. Don't skip this quest; the Fungal Rod is a solid catch for the area.

Agaric's Quest

Agaric's family was eaten by an alligator, and he wants revenge. He asks you to catch an Alligator and show it to him. That's the entire objective.

How to Complete the Quest

  1. Talk to Agaric under the mushroom in Mushgrove Swamp.
  2. Head to the boat area in Mushgrove Swamp—alligators spawn there more often.
  3. Fish normally until you hook an Alligator. (They can spawn anywhere in the swamp, but the boat spot is faster.)
  4. Reel it in using the standard fishing mechanic: hold or click to pull the white bar and follow the blue line.
  5. Return to Agaric and show him the Alligator.
  6. Receive the Fungal Rod and the Vigilante title.
💡 Tip — The Alligator stays in your inventory after you show it to Agaric. You don't lose it, so feel free to keep it as a trophy or sell it later.

Quest Rewards

Fungal Rod: Your main reward. It's a solid fishing rod suited for Mushgrove Swamp's fish.

Vigilante Title: A cosmetic title you'll earn for helping Agaric get his revenge. It's a cool badge to show off.
