What Is the Abyssal Devourer?

The Abyssal Devourer is a Mythical fish described as "a colossal entity that feeds on darkness itself." Its hunger is endless, and its presence creates a void that nothing can escape. It's one of the rarest fish in the Kraken Pool, second only to The Kraken and Ancient Kraken, making it a trophy catch for serious players.

When you hook one, a Mythical notification will pop above your head and a bell sound will play, signaling the momentous catch.

Location and Bait Requirements

The Abyssal Devourer exclusively spawns in the Kraken Pool within Atlantis. You'll need to have already unlocked access to the Kraken Pool to fish for this creature.

The only bait that works is Truffle Worm, which is a Legendary-tier bait. No other bait will attract the Devourer, so make sure you have a supply before heading out.

Size and Experience Rewards

The Abyssal Devourer weighs between 1,200 and 5,040 kilograms. An average catch lands around 1,800 kg. This fish awards 2,830 base XP when caught. With a perfect catch, the Double XP Gamepass, and the Clever Enchantment, you can earn up to 27,000 XP—or 54,000 XP during a double XP weekend event.

How to Catch the Abyssal Devourer

Follow these steps to successfully land your catch:

  1. Travel to Kraken Pool. Navigate to Atlantis and reach the Kraken Pool area.
  2. Equip Truffle Worm bait. Load Truffle Worm into your fishing setup. This is non-negotiable—no other bait will work.
  3. Cast your line. Hold down to cast your bobber into the water.
  4. Wait for a bite. You can shake your rod to attract fish faster. The Abyssal Devourer moves erratically across the fishing bar due to its high rarity, so erratic movement is a sign you may have hooked it.
  5. Prepare for the reeling penalty. When you hook the Devourer, a -75% progress speed penalty applies during reeling. This means the progress bar fills much more slowly than usual—you need patience and precision.
  6. Follow the blue line. As you reel, hold down or click to pull the white bar. Track the blue line as closely as you can and adjust your movements to follow it. It's okay to miss a few times, but stay consistent.
  7. Complete the progress bar. Keep reeling steadily until the progress bar fills completely. Because of the 75% penalty, this will take longer than most fish.
  8. Collect your reward. Once the progress bar is full, you've landed the Abyssal Devourer.
