The Abyssacuda is a rare fish that inhabits the deep waters of Vertigo in Fisch. It's a fierce predator known for its scary appearance and aggressive behavior—and it's just as difficult to reel in as it looks. Despite the "Rare" classification, landing one requires skill and patience.
Location and Requirements
Head to Vertigo to fish for Abyssacuda. You'll need Minnow as bait (Unusual rarity). The fish is available in Spring, Summer, and Winter—all seasons except Fall. There are no specific time or weather conditions needed.
How to Catch It
Follow the standard Fisch fishing mechanics:
- Hold down to cast your bobber into the water.
- Wait for a bite. You can shake your rod to attract fish faster.
- When hooked, a red exclamation mark will pop above your head and a bell sound will play—this signals a rare fish.
- Hold down or click to pull the white bar along the blue line. Stay as close to the line as you can; small mistakes are forgivable.
- Keep the bar full until the progress meter at the bottom completes. Once it fills, you've caught your Abyssacuda.
Stats and Rewards
A caught Abyssacuda ranges from 5.5 kg to 11 kg in weight. You'll earn 90 base XP per catch. The fish sells for 36.4 C$ per kg, so a maximum-weight catch nets around 400 C$.
Possible Mutations
Like all fish in Fisch, Abyssacuda can spawn with various mutations that change its appearance. Some of these include Big, Shiny, Sparkling, Mythical, Glossy, Midas, Frozen, Albino, Aurora, Lunar, Nuclear, and many others. Each mutation is purely cosmetic and doesn't affect gameplay, but collectors love hunting for rare variants.
