Welcome to Clean the Squishies! You've got a squishy-filled shop to organize, and whether you're going solo or teaming up with friends, these tips will help you pick up squishies faster and smarter.
Master the Pickup Controls
On PC, press E or click to grab and place squishies. On controller, use RT (right trigger). The faster you can toggle between picking up and placing, the quicker you'll complete tasks. Practice the rhythm—grab, move, drop, repeat.
Use the Number Keys to Switch Squishies
On PC, press the number keys to switch between different squishies you're holding. This is faster than dropping one and picking up another from the ground, especially when you're sorting by type or color. Plan ahead so you're always holding the squishy you need.
Drop Squishies Intentionally
Press E on PC or LT on controller to drop a squishy. Don't scatter them randomly—drop them near their collection zone so you're not backtracking constantly. Stay organized, and you'll save yourself tons of running.
Hold Click to Squish
On PC, hold down your click button to squish squishies. On controller, hold LT. Squishing is satisfying and part of the cleanup fun—plus it's a great way to interact with squishies while you organize. There's no penalty, so squish away!
Unlock Your Magic Ability Early
Press G on PC once you've unlocked the magic ability to speed up your work. This is one of your first upgrades, so prioritize getting it as soon as you can earn the currency for it. It'll make sorting much faster once you have it active.
Farm Currency for Upgrades
Earn upgrades and abilities by collecting squishies—this is how you progress. Focus on completing collection tasks quickly to unlock better tools. Upgrades make the job easier, so every squishy you collect gets you closer to a faster run.
Unlock the Mouse for Better Control
Press T on PC to unlock the mouse cursor. This can help you navigate menus and manage your collection more precisely. Use it when you're organizing or checking what you've collected so far.
Play with Friends for Leaderboard Speed
You can clean up alone, but racing with friends is more fun and faster. Divide and conquer—have one player grab squishies while another sorts them into zones. You'll hit the leaderboard times much quicker as a team.
