Catch a Brainrot is an open-world creature collection RPG created by Indieun and zv_u. You'll explore a vast world, find creatures, and build a team of favorites. Here's what every new player should know to get started.

Explore the Open World Right Away

The game world is open from the start. Don't rush through a single area—wander around, talk to NPCs, and find all the creatures hiding in different zones. Early exploration teaches you where resources spawn and which creatures appear in each region.

Build a Balanced Team Early

Catch multiple creature types as soon as you can. Having a diverse team with different abilities helps you win harder battles later. Don't stick with just one creature for the whole game.

Grind Easy Encounters for Levels

Once you find weaker creatures or trainers, fight them repeatedly. Each win gives experience to your team. This is the fastest way to level up your creatures before tackling tougher opponents.

Save Resources for Key Upgrades

Don't spend all your currency (Robux or in-game money) on the first items you see. Learn what upgrades actually improve battle performance, then save for those. Early overspending locks you out of better gear later.

Talk to Every NPC

NPCs give hints about creature locations, secret areas, and upcoming challenges. They also sometimes offer free items or side quests that reward useful gear.

Pay Attention to Move Types and Matchups

Creatures have moves with different types. Learn which moves are strong or weak against certain creature types. Using the right move type wins battles faster and takes less damage.

Don't Delete Duplicate Creatures Yet

Keep extra copies of creatures you catch early. Some games let you trade duplicates or level them separately for future team variety. Wait until you fully understand the mechanics before removing them.

Keep Inventory Space Free

Always have room to catch new creatures. A full inventory forces you to drop creatures or items, and you might miss rare spawns while managing space.

💡 Tip — Don't compare your team to other players yet. Focus on catching creatures you genuinely like. Your favorites will perform just as well once they're leveled up.
