Be Dino is a PvP survival game set in a prehistoric arena where you play as a dinosaur competing against other players. Your job is simple: hunt for prey to grow stronger, unlock new dinosaur species, and fight your way to the top of the food chain. The longer you survive and the more you eat, the more powerful you become.

What Is Be Dino?

Be Dino puts you in control of a dinosaur in a shared jungle arena with other players. It's an eat-or-be-eaten game where you must constantly hunt for food, avoid or fight stronger predators, and gather resources to unlock rare dinosaur species. The goal is to reach the apex — the strongest dinosaur on the server and the ruler of the jurassic jungle.

Your First Game: The Core Loop

When you join Be Dino, you'll start as a basic dinosaur. Here's what happens in your first few minutes:

  1. Spawn into the arena. You appear in the prehistoric world with other players. Your dinosaur is small and weak.
  2. Hunt for food. Look for prey (smaller creatures or plants) scattered around the map. Approach them and eat to gain size and health.
  3. Grow stronger. Each piece of prey you consume makes your dinosaur larger and more powerful. Bigger dinosaurs deal more damage and take more hits.
  4. Avoid or fight other dinos. Other players are hunting too. You can run away from stronger dinosaurs or fight weaker ones to steal their food or eliminate them.
  5. Stay alive. The longer you survive, the more you level up and the more rewards you earn.
  6. Earn currency. Hunting and surviving grant you resources to unlock new dinosaur species between rounds.
💡 Tip — Your first priority is always to eat. Hunt constantly in your early minutes to reach a safe size before engaging other players.

Core Mechanics and Controls

Movement: Use WASD keys to move your dinosaur around the arena. Hold Shift to sprint and move faster (if available — this drains stamina). Mouse movement or camera look lets you turn and aim your view.

Eating: Walk over or near food items and press E (or click) to eat. Eating restores health, increases your size, and builds your stats. Larger dinosaurs are stronger but also slower targets.

Combat: Press left-click or spacebar to attack other dinosaurs. Your damage scales with your size — bigger dinos hit harder. Attacks have a cooldown, so you can't spam them instantly.

Health and Stamina: Your health bar shows at the top or side of your screen. Taking damage from other dinos or falling will reduce it. Stamina drains when you sprint. Both regenerate over time when you're not sprinting or being attacked.

Hunting and Growing Stronger

Growth is the heart of Be Dino. Every time you eat, your dinosaur gets bigger and stronger.

Finding food: The map has scattered food sources — small prey, plants, or carrion left behind by other players' kills. Focus on areas with multiple food items and fewer players at first.

Eating priority: Early on, eat anything available. As you grow, you can hunt other players' food or defeat weak dinosaurs for more resources at once.

Size matters: A larger dinosaur has more health, more attack power, and more reach. However, larger dinos move slower and drain stamina faster when sprinting. Balancing growth with speed is part of the strategy.

💡 Tip — Don't get greedy. If you're low on health and a stronger dinosaur approaches, retreat and find safer hunting grounds rather than risking a fight.

Unlocking New Dinosaurs

Be Dino has many dinosaur species to collect and unlock. You start with a basic dinosaur, but hunting, surviving, and earning currency lets you unlock others.

How to unlock: Complete matches, earn rewards, and accumulate in-game currency. Use this currency to purchase new dinosaur species from the menu between rounds.

Variety: Each dinosaur has different stats — speed, health, damage. A fast raptor plays very differently than a slow but powerful T-Rex. Experiment with new species to find playstyles that suit you.

Rarity: Some dinosaurs are rarer and stronger than others. Epic and legendary dinosaurs require more currency or progress to unlock but offer significant advantages.

Climbing the Ranks

Be Dino has a ranking system. The longer you survive and the more you hunt, the higher your rank becomes.

Rank benefits: Higher ranks unlock access to stronger dinosaurs and better rewards. Climbing ranks also places you among the top players on the leaderboard.

Apex predator: The ultimate goal is to become the apex — the strongest player in the arena. This requires combining good hunting, smart fights, and steady growth throughout a match.

Leaderboard: Check the leaderboard to see where you stand against other players. It resets or updates regularly, giving everyone a chance to climb.

Common Beginner Mistakes

Fighting too early: Don't engage other dinosaurs when you're still small. A larger dino will beat you every time. Hunt first, grow second, fight third.

Ignoring stamina: Sprinting constantly burns stamina and leaves you vulnerable. Sprint only when you need to escape or chase down prey. Walk and hunt calmly most of the time.

Hoarding food: If you're at full health, don't waste time eating more. Move to a new hunting ground or prepare for combat instead.

Playing solo: You don't need teammates in Be Dino, but don't isolate yourself. Stick to moderate-traffic areas where you can hunt safely without constantly bumping into apex players in spawn zones.

Rage quitting after one loss: One bad round doesn't define your skill. Use each match to learn enemy patterns, test new dinosaurs, and improve your hunting strategy.
